FTL
When a single customer's freight fills the entire length of the trailer or the trailer's weight capacity is reached, it is referred to as a full truckload or full trailer load (FTL).
FTL transportation is suitable for transporting many products to a single destination, heavy machinery transport, carrying big commercial goods, bulk supplies, or just about anything that can completely fill a trailer. When the trailer isn't fully loaded, a freight load can pay an FTL rate.
LTL
If a shipment does not fill the full length or weight capacity of a trailer and may not be the only shipment on the trailer, it is referred to as a less than truckload (LTL).
Moving smaller products like parts or vehicles is simple and inexpensive with LTL shipping. An LTL shipment is always shipped directly to your preferred location and comes with all of the advantages of FTL delivery, with the exception of a slightly longer turnaround period.
Oversize
Oversize loads are shipments that exceed the dimensions and weight limits of a trailer.
